WP 1 - Project Management

 

Description:

The WP provides efficient management of contract relationships with the EU, co-ordination of the partnership, co-ordination and development of the cross-national dimension of the network and appropriate development of local networks.

 

1.1 Administrative co-ordination

 

T1.1 1. Contract management with the EU and the partnership

 

T1.1.2. Communication with the EU and with the partnership

 

T1.1.3. Writing of 6-month progress reports, interim report, final report and cost statements

 

T1.1.4. Organisation of Management meetings (Kick off meeting and management meetings at M1, M6, M12; M18, M24) on the basis of what is necessary to cope with the proposal objectives.

 

The administrative management includes also:

  • Identification of an administrative manager who will periodically request and remind reports, give advice, correct errors, suggest solutions asking advice from the DG TREN administrative officer.
  • Definition of timing for delivery of financial reports, transfers of advances and balances, answers to questions.
  • The Steering Committee, composed of the project manager of each partner’s team, is created and empowered of decision making at each project meeting.

 

1.2 Network management

 

T1.2.1. Supervision of WP leaders’ work.

 

T1.2.2. Organisation and coordination of project meetings, production of minutes and action lists; definition of the main aspect of co-operation.

 

T1.2.3. Assistance to the development of the network local nodes and coordination of the international contacts for dissemination.

The Periodical meetings will have these features:

  • The agenda is prepared on the basis of what is necessary, to cope with the proposal objectives, and made available 1 week before meetings;
  • The location is changed in order to host meetings at the various partner’s premises (improvement of reciprocal knowledge);
  • Regional workshops are partially and possibly held in connection with project meetings.

 

Project progresses update:

One internal progress report every quarter will help keeping track of the developments at each partner’s site;

  • The progress is evaluated using the performance indicators listed in point 4.4.
  • In order to guarantee the co-ordination and the development of the cross-national dimension of the partnership and the appropriate development of local networks, the project leader carries on the co-ordination of the WP leaders and the supervision of the specific subjects assigned to each partner.
  • A telephone conference or other similar communication tool will be used among Coordinator and WP leaders before each project meeting.
