The Bacchus project (precursor to the SEIPLED project) analysed the concept of integration of energy with local/regional development, showing that energy projects have to be analysed, still in their planning phase, in terms of social, economic and environmental indicators, in order to be accepted by local development people. EU-Project ENERGY 4 COHESION
Preparation of a knowledge basis for the extensive and efficient use of Structural and Cohesion Funds between 2007 and 2013 for the promotion of Renewable Energy (RE) actions in less developed rural regions of Europe. The project will demonstrate best practice in eight selected target regions in Eastern and Southern Europe and will identify the best funding mechanisms.
Project duration: January 2006 to June October 2008.
